I have had dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits and a crab once as pets. Amongst these four creatures, dogs are the best. When I moved house, my cats felt that the old house and neigborhood was more comfortable so it did not follow me. Plus I once had a burn on my leg and my cat scratched it. I don't know whether it thought it was meat for him

.
My dogs on the other hand were lovely. my first dog was female, I called her Duchess but my maid called her Bingo. I called her duchess because she was such an angel, well behaved etc. But she never replied to Duchess, she only replied to Bingo

. But she was a lovely dog. I still remember how she used to relax and show her teeth whiles I gave her a tummy rub. Wonderful dog, she gave birth to a lot of pubs. We kept two of her kids. Milo and Ray. Milo was brown but handsome and Ray was pure white when he was born but later became brownish white. Ray was so troublesome, so unruly, very spirited and fun. I remember when Ray was a pub, I would go running with him and he would also suffer to catch up. Six months later, I was the one always trying to catch up. Ray and I could even play football. He would use his nose and front paws. He was such fun. Milo was a good dog. He follow his mother's character but he doesn't like tummy rubs.
I had three turtles, Dipty, Rocky and Sherman. Dipty was eaten by Bingo since he was so small, unfortunately. But Dipty and Rocky liked dancing. It's true, turtles can dance. I played music and hid somewhere I could see them and their dance moves where sick. Rocky after Dipty's death became dull and lonely. He couldn't hang around with Sherman because Sherman was over 30x his size. Sherman was antisocial, he would also go into his shell when anyone came close but he would allow me to stand on his shell and he would sometimes move when I was on him.
My rabbits were cute, they were both white with red eyes. I couldn't decide on a name for them when I had them. They were stolen a week after I bought them

.
I don't remember giving my crab a name. I think I called him 'the crab'. The crab was dangerous. He died after two weeks with me. One day I wanted to give him new raw wet plantain and cassava pieces; he had had too many dried ones in his tin cage. I decided to clear them, in the process, he escaped. It was hell from then on. I was trying to put him back in but he wasn't being cooperative. He was snapping his claws at me to tell me not to get close. So I shouted for the maid and she was not cooperative either. She murdered the crab with her shoe. I buried him the next minute and prayed over his soul. I cried. I was cross with the maid from then onwards.
So that's a summary of all the pets I once had.
I wish I had bought a crocodile though. In Addis Ababa, I had wanted to buy one in a town called Sodore but my mom wouldn't allow me. It was a fine little crocodile. Parents are sometimes too mean

.
When I was a kid, I wished I could own a lion. I used to see the Ethiopian prime minister fly with a lion on his plane sometimes and would envy him.
I doubt I want pets for now. I am in college 8 months in a year. There will be no one to cater for them. Hopefully in future I will be rich enough to get a lion and a snow leopard for my pets. XD
