He has http:// twice at the beginning, this is why the link does not work. Just remove one like so:
Windows XP and the link works fine. Doo |

If you are going to buy any kind of new coling product look on this site called newegg. And what company did you buy your computer from? Or did you build it? Becuase some of the companys like, Dell Have very limtied or none ar all over clocking options. Atleast I think, I looked in the BIOS of a Dell computer and there was barrley anything I could change in it, also my firend had one and he said there was nothing in there either.

There is absolutely no doubt that the major cause for your poor framerates is that FS2004 does not like Vista. Conversely, FSX does not like Windows XP!
I have done exhaustive tweaking and investigation on this subject and my conclusions are as follows: Fs2004 must be run on a Windows XP system with Direct X 9c installed. Running it on a Vista system results in approx half the framerates achieved on Windows XP using the same computer hardware. (Vista with Direct X 10 gives even worse performance for FS2004). You should increase your memory to 2 GB and arrange it as dual channel configuration. (memory is so inexpensive these days). Have your pagefile on the same Hard Disk where you installed Fs2004, but install your addon scenery on a second HD, (hopefully your disks are SATA!). This will greatly improve seek times and reduces scenery stutter. There are lot's of Windows XP system downloads available so that should not be a problem. Why not buy a new HD, minimum size 320GB, which are now less than $100 and remove your existing HD? You can then install Windows XP et.al. and tweak to your heart's content but still have your original setup intact on the original HD,which can be reinstalled in a flash should you have any problems. |

seems like the setup doesnt recognise your harddrive - the unknown disks are usually from a card reader or something.
do you have a sata drive? you may need to install the drivers for that from a floppy :S

I fixed that part already, but thanks. I went in to BIOS and enabled the SATA controller and to IDE... and that fixed it
But now i have a different problem lol 1) When i move the windows around in XP, they seem to stutter. Like Shevering I dont know how to explain better right now 2) I cant connect to the internet on XP but I can on the Vista partition!!! I get page cannot be displayed message, could it be missing drivers when i got the XP from WF? I think it said somewhere that I didnt have any network drivers? Thanks |

if you go into your device manager (windows key+ pause button, tab hardware -> device manager) you can see if thers anything wrong with your network card. get some drivers (google the brand/type) and reinstall the network card...
thats my best guess as for the stuttering windows, that usually happens if you dont install video card drivers. same procedure as above goes for that too hope this helps ![]()
