What to Cook?

Hello fellow wickedfriendians,
The past few months I've been living on my lonesome, it has been the first time i've had to even really think about what i'm having to eat in the evenings. I've browsed the other threads for ideas but unfortunately do not think I have the aptitude to do some of them and others I don't think I'd like and cannot spend money finding out as I'm on a student budget. I haven't really cooked before moving on my own and since i've been here i've taught myself to cook quite simple things such as:

-chicken and rice with various sauces
-pasta with pasta sauce, chopped bits of tomato, mushroom and bacon
-Stirfry with poached egg
-Rared Salmon with cheesy shallow fried sliced potato and wine sauce in a bake

As you can see, not a great range of meals. I'm looking for a few more things, even I can cook, to add to the list please. Any ideas, tips, tricks etc would be much appreciated as I'm getting bored of eating the same stuff each week.

Thanks in advance,
Journeyman
