XP & Vista

I'm dual booting between xp & vista. Unfortunatly I haven't been giving Vista a fair shake. Diddle with it occasionally but tend to boot into XP 9 times out 10. It's spring, the weather is wonderful and I've been tinkering outside more than with my 'inside toys'. We're way over due for rain, when it comes I'll play more with Vista while restricted to playing inside!

dont bother upgrading until SP1 by that time most issues will be ironed out, and driver and application compatability will increase

Same 'ere.
On XP, Vista will be slow if I do install it on my system.
XP is serving my needs pretty decently, I don't 'need' Vista.

Here Here! My opinion exactly! I'm not one to run out and jump on any MS os until after a good while of watching everyone else struggle a bit. I would say give it at least a year or so and then I'll have a go.

I agree totally. I'll stick to XP for a while more yet.

If I change of OS (from XP to...) then it is to Ubuntu (Linux ). Ubuntu has now a lot of features, actually most features from Vista . And possitiv is that it is getting better every day . Now there is already Ubuntu 7.04, while not that long ago there wasjust Ubuntu 6. So... Ubuntu is a better OS to switch to, he he :p.

Btw, Ubuntu has also a skin package, where you can even use the Vista skin, lol.
