I don't smoke.............and I hate the smell, I think the new laws here in the UK are great, I can actually go into a resraunt and eat without the air being filled with smoke, my opinion is "Smoke and kill yourself, but don't kill me". I really hated it after my Aunty had a stroke due to smoking. No offence to anyone on here I know how hard it is to give up, as I have studied it a bit in my AS Biology course.

Good luck Phoenix, don't try and just give up, the chemicals within the brain which carry nerve impulses, for reflexes etc. are replaced by nicotine and this is why smoking is addictive as the body relies on it to send impulses, coming off slowly allows the body to begin reproducing the original chemicals and therefore you can give up without the cravings.

On 24th of August 1987 I've smoked the first cigarette
After 20 years of doing the worst thing possible
I've decided to quit

started smoking when i was 10. did it for a year, then my dad found out. he made me stop smoking. i am 18 now and i am so happy he made me stop smoking.
