Wow, there are so many bands to choose from. It is an extremely tough task to say who is the best of all time. We could look at record sales, longevity, #1 hits, or just singles. It would be kind of neat to see some kind of special on VH1 about who is actually number one and base it on a world wide poll.
My personal preferences are.... 1. Metallica 2. Def Leppard 3. Kiss 4. Led Zeppelin 5. Beatles addy

Bob Marley and the Wailers. That's was the best band in my view. After Bob Marley, we have the Beatles and Linkin Park. I was going to add Abba but not sure if they would qualify for a "band" band.

1. Led Zeppelin
2. Pink Floyd (very close to being #1) 3. The Beatles cuz of their influence and longevity of songs 4. The Stones! 5. Lynyrd Skynyrd (with The Allman Brothers, put Southern Rock on the map!) I love many of the bands mentioned above too. Boston just didn't have enuf albums to qualify. lol Journey wasn't bad, Black Sabbath and Ozzy kick butt, The Doors, Queen, Def Leppard all great The rest mentioned I'm not real fond of lol Oh and Sysyphus I've got over 60 GB of live Floyd  lmao

whoa, I thought some of you were joking at first...
a bunch of you like Journey...really?  I had this love ballot, big hair, syrup'y ideal in my head so I went to Wikipedia and had a look..."Don't Stop Believing", "Any Way You Want It", "Faithfully", "Open Arms", "Separate Ways", and "Wheel in the Sky." ...yep, that confirms it.  I guess the person I relate best to here is Tiggrrrr, I mean we are talking greatest bands of ALL TIME here, these aren't even necessarily my personal favorites but we are talking who we think are the best all time. 1) Beatles 2) Rolling Stones 3) Pink Floyd 4) Led Zeppelin 5) Rush  ah, who is kidding who, I might change the order but not only do I think they are the best, they are my personal favorites.  HeHe, fun thread. |

Well, I have to say that Savage Garden would have been number 1 if they would of stuck around for a while longer. I vote for
1. Led Zeppelin 2. Beetles 3. Queen 4. Foriegner 5. Savage Garden 6. Journey 7. Eagles 8. Phil with Genesis 9. Boston 10. Rush Tigger is ok but missed the boat a little on his guesses. Pink Floyd is a has been band just Brett Farve is a has been in the NFL unless he goes to the Bears or Vikings. Journey is a great band and it makes the women take notice when guys like them. |

The others are good but Pink Floyd is Best ,but only after Sid Barrett got the push from the group. Dark Side is the best Album ever. Wish you were here is PF,s second best followed by The final cut. and then Animals But that is only my opinion |
