Queen was a good pic, mostly because they were classically trained. I think tho, if you set aside the ridiculously high vocals and look at sheer talent, you'll find that Boston is much their equal, and Boston was a group of MIT students. Tom Shultz actually designed and built their entire recording studio on the side while doing classified tech work for the government. That's impressive. But best of all Time, I don't know. There are so many genres to consider. Each one has at least one outstanding group. Modern symphonic metal, for instance, would be Kamelot, hands down, but modern folk rock, quite possibly Desparacidios or Devotchka, even Bright eyes, comparing with Bob Dylan. Prog, possibly Frost. I don't think I'd consider any single group best of all time.

Another thing to consider is British rock, from the Beatles and Genesis through to early Coldplay and pretty much all of Keane. Thats a huge genre full of a lot of talent and lot of great songs.

I have not disliked ONE Pink Floyd song yet and I have a very extensive collection of everything they have written, as well as nearly 10GB of live shows, some extremely rare. They might play the best in the world but to me they are my everything. They started my whole musical career.

I feel the same way. I think back at WD you and I talked about our extensive Pink Floyd collections.

If I had to put it in an order Journey, Floyd, and The Doors are top three. Their positions flip flop depending on what mood I'm in.

It is hard to just pick one band as the best of all times, so my top 3 choices in order are

1. Journey
2. Boston
3. Led Zeppelin.

Black Sabbath.
Been there since 1970, and I still listen to them. And there is nobody like Ozzy Osbourne
