RIAT 2008 - Thursday 10th July

Today was quite a rush of aircraft, a lot of aircraft arrived and everyone got a glimpse of the most advanced fighter ever, the F-22 Raptor, it was amazing, all we saw was a take-off and landing but the disply was cancelled due to yet some more rain. Today was the first day on the FRIAT grandstand and it was a lovely clear morning but slowly clouded up the day giving us yet another shower. Although the aircraft were fine, the grassy areas for the public sitting and parking were turning into nearly a swamp. We also saw the Turkish team called "Turkish Stars" which turned out to be very pretty aircraft with a very handsome C-160 Transall in their own paint design. But towards the afternoon we had a shower while the Indians team "Sarang Helicopter Disply Team" familiarised themselves with the area, a Traditional British Summer

Well these are from Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises but my personal photo's will be uploaded after RIAT has finished, but yes if it rains too much, they won't display especially when they'd like to keep the Raptor clean!

But sometimes they need to do a practice to get used to the area

I will upload them on a seperate thread ASAP after the weekend, i will upload all the best and neccessary photo's as i've taken like about 200 photo's each day, but they should come out well.

That is one sweet baby for sure. Hopefully they will eventually make a trip across the pond so we USA'ers will be able to see it. Never quite the same as seeing in person.

Yea, watch out for those Air Shows - we've had too many accidents lately.

Thanks Bon, it has been a good arrival week for the show but despite the insane ammounts of rain its been enjoyable
