Sigh... This stuff is really really unnessasary unless you are running windows xp on a pentium 1. As on a normal pc (1ghz-3ghz), this will make barely any difference what these programs will do and will ultimatly turn your computer into something ugly.

Yes, I do agree that this is useless for a newer generation dual-core computer. How silly of me.

Note.
These tips are usually used for computer that have been hardly maintained throughout there lifespans, and pretty much anything 2.4 GHz down may see results if advice is taken. As Mr. Devious had kindly pointed out, the most you'll see is a 20% difference (if that)....

There are I am sure people out there who are unable to upgrade their pc or even get a faster than dial-up connection. Therefore these tips might be quite helpful to some. Still a valueable post in my opinion.
