Make Bittorrent more like TiVo

Here is a fast and eas way to make yourBT client more like a TiVo or replay TV. After you set this up, you'll never need to waste your time browsing for new shows.

For this, you need....

1) BT Client (I will be showing you from Azureus
2)Torrent Site this supports RSS feeds (most now do)
3) Program called Par-N-Rar


- First open up Azureus and go to Plugins -> Installation Wizard


- Leave the default option and click Next, Scroll down do RSS Feed Downloader (ScanRSS). Click Next then Finish


- Go back to Plugins and then choose RSS Feed Scanner, then choose Options

- Click The addition sign to *** a new feed. Name it and enter the URL, Mine is from Supertorrents.org and enable it and click Save


- Now it is time to setup the filter (the last step). My example is Family Guy. Click the addition sign then assign a name. Most torrents use periods for spaces so for the filter put in Family.Guy (another example is Law.and.Order.CI). Leave the others alone and go to Feed. if you add another feed and want to get the best speed possible choose all feeds. If you are on a fast private tracker like ST, choose that single feed. Then choose the type of feed. Which is mostly TV Shows. Now set up which season filter you want. Family Guy is on Season six so put in 6 and choose to start from what episode you want. Do the same thing for the end (you can put S20 EP100 if you want) Check "Utilize Smart History". What that will do is make sure not to download the same episode twice. (so if you only want HR, add .HR to the Filter, set up another filter for PROPER releases if you want to). Now choose Save.



Now your all done. Make sure you keep the Client open so it can automatically download the torrent the second it comes out.



The reason you may want Par-N-Rar is the most torrents come in RAR files split into pieces. What this program does is automatically un-rar the file for you so you can just go to your media center and just watch your missed show without going to your PC. There are many options to fool around with so check them out. Make sure you keep it open to auto un-rar it.
