Butterflys Unoffical Guide to chipped Wii's;
Started 18th may 2008 Work in progress Chapter One; Buying a Chipped wii Or Chipping a wii The Best way to play imports & backups is to buy a pre-modded Wii; Code:
UK: http://www.gameworlddirect.com USA: http://www.uexboxmods.com UK/USA: http://www.cityofmod.com USA: http://shop.nerddigitalsolutions.com Code:
http://www.mod-chip.com http://www.wii-chip.co.uk http://www.gcwii.co.uk http://www.pinpointgames.com Part 1 pickup your newest Firmware from your chips homepage; Download both the Upadates & config Disks Code:
Offical Wiikey homepage: http://www.wiikey.cn Offical Cyclowiz homepage: http://teamcyclops.com/cyclowiz Offical Wiinja homepage: http://www.wiinja.com]interstate ![]() Part 2 Cutting your update's & Config Disks This Can be done with Nero or Imgburn both are available if you search WF if you run into problems that the wii wont read the update DVD try this; What you are suppose to do is expand the size of those iso's to 4.3gb. The Wii will only ready discs that are either 1.3gb or 4.3gb in size (Size of Gamecube games, and Wii games). Now, have a look at the files that came with the update or in the config disc There will be a file called "filechop.exe". (google it) This is the file we will need. Now, what you will need to do is make sure that you places the "filechop.exe" file where those small upadate iso's are (keep to the desktop if you can). 1. Click "Start", the "Run" or push Windows key and r. 2. Type in cmd in the box. 3. A command prompt box will show up. Assuming that all your files are on your desktop, type in: cd desktop Push enter after that. 4. If things are ok, you should see something like your username\desktop in the Command Prompt window. 5. Now we have to use the filechop command: Type in: filechop wkupdate.1.9b.pal.iso 1459978240 (assuming that your update file has the same name (.iso part). 6. You can do the same thing for the config disc iso's. Use the above filechop command but change the file name in the command to the config disc iso name (Must be exact) 7. Once this is done, right click on that file in Windows and click "Properties". You should find that the file is around 1.3gb in size, instead of 6mb.

Chapter three; Copying, Cutting & playing Copys
Copying Games First step in copying your games for backup purposes is to get the right software and hardware. You will need one of the following DVD drives to copy games(no others will work). * LG-8164b * LG-8163b * LG-8162b * LG-8161b You also need rawdump2.0 & .net Framework 2.0 (Look in the tools section at the bottom) Once you download the files above then right-click on the rawdump2.0.rar and select "Extract to rawdump2.0\" this will make a folder on your desktop called rawdump2.0. Now insert your Wii or Gamecube game into the LG drive that you have ordered and installed. Then open the rawdump2.0 folder and double click on the rawdump2.0.exe file. After doing this you will be presented with the following interface. If your wondering what all the buttons are next to me close and minimize buttons it is a program called UltraMon for multiple monitor setups. Just ignore this. I am also running the Zune Windows XP Theme. The next step is to just click "Start Dump." On my computer this process took just about 2.5 hours. When it is complete you will be greeted with a nice finished message. The file it creates will be in the same directory as the rawdump.exe file. It should be called "Game Name.iso." This ISO is an image of the actual game and is ready to be burned Sample of Nintendo Wii ISO size: 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes). Sample Of Nintendo Gamecube ISO size: 1.35 GB (1,459,978,240 bytes) Buring Wii Games 1. Unrar the Wii ISO or make sure you know where it is 2. Open ImageBurn Or NERO 3. Put a expernsive DVDR or DVDRW in the driver (sony, verbatim ect..) 4. Set your burner to the slowest burn speed possable & leave the check disk after burn options switched off!!! 5. Put the DVD in the Wii & enjoy!!! Chapter Four; How to play Virtual Gamesconsle Method 1; This is a small tutorial how to make a WAD Installer ISO, which works with the SD Card, so you only need to burn it ones and only have to replace the Wad file on the SD Card There is no TP Hack required it will work immediately What do you need: -A Modchip -Wad Installer DOL (WAD Installer v1 (with Wiimote support) - WiiNewz Forums) -Trucha Signer -Wad File to install -SD card -A DVD burner -A DVD -DVD Burning software The Tutorial: 1.Download the Wad Installer and extract it somewhere 2.Open Trucha Signer and select a game iso(It doesn't matter what) 3.Right Click the Main.Dol of the second partition 4.Click Replace and replace it with the wad-installer.dol 5.Sign the partition and close Trucha Signer 6.Now burn the iso to a DVD 7.Ones the burning has finished you can put the burned dvd in the Wii 8.Now connect you SD Card to your computer 9.And in the root of the SD Card make a folder called wad place the wad file in it and rename it to title.wad 10.Now you can start the DVD and the WAD Installer will boot up 11.Press 1+2 or the Red Sync button 12.Ones it says the wiimote is connected press A 13.The Wad Installer will now install the WAD file to the wii system this will take a minute 14.When it's finished it will automaticly reboot the wii and the Channel should be there Then replace the title.wad on the SD Card with another game and repeat the process, easy as that !! Method 2; my personal method 1. Download a premade Wad install disk (will add this to the tool section soon or check deamoniod) 2. Now burn the iso to a DVD 3. Ones the burning has finished you can put the burned dvd in the Wii 4. Now connect you SD Card to your computer 5. And in the root of the SD Card make a folder called "wad" place the wad file for the "install wad channel" in it rename it to title.wad 6.Now you can start the DVD and the WAD Installer will boot up 7.Press reset Or A (GCpad) 8.The Wad Installer will now install the WAD file to the wii system this will take a minute 9.When it's finished it will automaticly reboot the wii and the Channel should be there You no longer need a wii VC boot dvd the channel can install them for you with the DVD!!!! i also suggest you install the unstall wad channel this removes any VC titles which match the title.wad on the memcard
